Why EDGE Modular?
The customers we build for share three common pressures:
- They need compute closer to the point of operations
- They need it deployed faster than a conventional facility allows.
- They need it to keep running in environments where power, climate and physical security cannot be assumed
EDGE Modular is engineered around those three pressures. Every unit is self-container facility-power, cooling, fire protection, physical security, structured cabling and management. Built and commissioned offsite, then dropped into place wherever the mission requires. Because the build happens in our New Zealand facility under controlled condition, our quality is consistent, our lead times are predictable and the supply chain stays closer to our customer
Our approach
- New Zealand designed and built. Local engineering, local support, local accountability. No multi-month wait for a unit shipped from the other side of teh world, and no third-country dependancies in teh supply chain.
- Standard ISO footprint, by design. Every EDGE Modular unit is within a standard 10, 20 or 40ft ISO container envelop. Standard freight, standard handlign equipment, standard port logistics - anywhere in the world.
- Hybrid off-grid power available. Optional integrated hybrid energy package - solar PV, battery storage, inverters and generators for genuine offgrid or grid-edge sites where mains power is unreliable, intermittent or absent.
- Defence-aware build standards. Designed from teh outset for physical, environmental and operational demands of defence, civil defence and critical infrastructure roles, not retrofitted from a commercial baseline.
- Mission-relevant commercial models. Outright purchase, lease-to-own, or short and long-term hire including emergency surge deployment for disaster recovery and exercise support
Core Systems
Resilient. Modular. Scalable. Efficient
Critical Power
EDGE Modular ships with an integrated power chain designed for low-operator demand. Rack mounted UPS units provide conditioned power and ride-thorugh, customers can specify lithium-ion or lead-acid battery technolgoy depending on duty cycle, ambient temperature and lifecycle preference. Custom distribution panels are built to specific load profile of the deployed equipment and an optional standby generator with on-board fuel storage provides extended run time when grid power is interrupted or unavailable

Optional hybrid off-grid power
For sites where reliable mains power cannot be assumed - remote outposts, disaster-affected areas, training and exercise locations, off-grid industrial sites. EDGE Modular can be configured with a hybrid energy package. Solar PV, battery storage, inverter, and generator are integrated into the units power architecture and managed a single unified system, with the generator only running when solar and battery cannot meet the load. the result is genuie off-grid capability with reduced fuel consumption, lower acoustic and thermal load when running on renewables and longer endurance between refuel or resupply

Thermal management
Cooling is selected to match the workload and the environment in which the unit is deployed to. EDGE Modular supports room-level, row-level and rack-level precision cooling, with hot-aisle containment available where rack densities justify it. The container envelope is fuly insulated and fire rated to manage solar gain in tropical and high-ambient environments and to retain condition air efficiency in colder climates. the cooling architecture is sized for the deployed compute load, not over provisioned to a generic worst-case which keeps PUE down and operating costs predictable.

Physical Security and Fire suppression systems
Security is designed from the structural shell outward. Controlled access entry, intrusion detection systems, CCTV and environmental control systems are standard. Fire detection and suppresion are integrated with the managemetn system so events are detected, contained and reported without requiring on-site staff. Customers oeprating higher threat environments can specify enhanced security construction such as SCIF secure compartmetns and access control as part of the build specification
