Edge Modular is a brand and division of Edge Defence Limited ("Edge Defence", "we", "us"). Edge Defence Limited is the legal entity that operates this website and processes any personal information you provide. We are committed to protecting the personal information of people who visit our website, contact us, or do business with us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

2. What personal information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly to us — typically through the contact form, by email, or by phone. This includes:

- Your name, role and organisation;
- Your email address and phone number;
- Details about the project or enquiry you're contacting us about;
- Any other information you choose to send us.

We also collect limited technical information when you visit our website — including device type, browser, IP address (truncated for storage), pages visited and referring URL. This is collected via cookies and the Wix analytics platform, and is used only to improve the site.

3. Why we collect it

We collect personal information to respond to your enquiry, scope a project, prepare quotes, deliver and maintain Edge Modular units, manage our customer relationships, and meet our legal obligations as a New Zealand business. We do not collect personal information we do not need.

4. How we use and share it

We use personal information only for the purpose we collected it. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Where we share information with third parties (for example, our cloud hosting provider, accounting platform, or a freight forwarder for a shipment), we do so under contract and only to the extent needed to perform the relevant service.

5. Where it is stored

Personal information collected through this website is stored in Wix's hosting infrastructure. Information you send us by email or phone is stored in our New Zealand business systems. Some of our service providers store data outside New Zealand (for example, in Australia, the EU or the United States). Where this is the case, we require those providers to apply protections comparable to those required by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse — including access control, encryption in transit, audit logging, and staff training. No system is perfectly secure; if a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, plus any period required by law (typically 7 years for business records). Enquiries that don't progress to a project are retained for 24 months and then deleted.

8. Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are no longer required to keep it. To exercise any of these rights, write to sales@edge-defence.com — we'll respond within 20 working days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

This website uses cookies for essential site functionality and for anonymised analytics through Wix. We don't use third-party advertising cookies and we don't run remarketing pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still function but some features may be limited.
